This is coming from a good place, but I don't think you have to choose between one of the other. Stuttering is absolutely curable for majority of people. But no one really has an answer and I think most people who have managed to gain fluency came across a solution by accident. Do you stutter when talking to yourself? Probably not. Then it's not some permanent structural disability like being on a wheelchair. Look at Joe Biden or Steve Harvey. They're pretty much fluent. But we can live with the fact that fluency can be achieved without shaming ourselves for not figuring it out or getting there right away. I really think the cure lies somewhere in understanding what happens in our brains when people are around vs when we're alone and perfectly fluent. Until then, yes, try to worry less about your stutter in public and just observe yourself and be curious about what makes stuttering better or worse without shaming yourself.
