Could you define "specialist"? Speech therapist, psychologist? Both? I do recommend you to go to both at once; also not everyone has experience with stuttering so double checking they are ready to treat you is a good idea. If in your country there is a stuttering asociation try contacting them, sometimes they have a list of profesionals that have experience treating us. Good luck!
