Venting I've had a speech impediment for as long as I can remember, starting from childhood. At first, adults around me thought it was cute because I was young. However, as I entered puberty my stutter became a target for ridicule and mockery. This has caused me to miss out on many opportunities throughout my 21 years of life. Additionally, severe bullying has resulted in crippling social anxiety. Every time I speak, I have to carefully choose my words, which feels like following a scripted dialogue and is incredibly draining. I'm frustrated by the lack of proper help I've received for my stutter. I'm also worried about my future and how I'll manage a job and other responsibilities.
