I've never cried about it. I got my stutter towards the end of ninth grade after around five of my classmates had it. The first person had it when he was a child and as we grew, one by one started to get it. So, my classmates and the entire school already knew what it was and how to deal with people who stutter with patience and kindness, so it really wasn't a bad experience. The teachers were also wonderful. At times, I do feel extremely sad when it gets too bad that I can't even convey what's on my mind. I moved to the USA for my masters from India and ever since the visa interview dilemma, my stutter got so bad. I could barely get words out and it was very hard to even ask for help with anything. I highly encourage a starting point where you can speak freely, even if it is with yourself and grow your speech comfort boundaries to know shopkeepers, friends, classmates, etc. just like the process of how a crystal grows.
