(part 2) What do I want to say with this is that I really really can't understand why the medical field does not carry on research regarding the diaphragm and stuttering. I can't find them. The only report I can find is indeed the old report of the McGill university. Perhaps you as a PhD research can help with reaching out to the right people in the field by explaining about this method and asking why the field does not have any interest in exploring why there are so lot of people been cured as a result of this breathing method. And ok, even if they don't believe it or question the science (small or not) they could at least investigate and replicate the research again. Lets trace all of the people who are cured and follow them in a study to see if they are indeed cured. Why is this not happening? Why are people in the field so focused on their own way of research? Are they scared to question the things they have learned? A good scientist will always doubt. If you don't doubt you can not be a scientist in my opinion. >The study would be considered a "breaktheough study" in the scientific community, if your claims would be true ("healing all stutters"). If it is a seminal study, it should be cited A LOT by other researchers. However, the study was only cited 52 times. Considering the old age of the study, this is VERY little attention. I would have expected it to be cited several thousand times. So its like the HIV/aids virus now. There now 2 or 3 people indeed cured of the hiv-virus. That's why the medical field has a prove of concept and the research agenda of the virus is now really to: 'reach out for the cure'. But the study of mr. Macklem does not claim to have a cure for all stutters I believe though. But at least he paved the pad for more research because there were at least 10 people that were cured. That's a lot more then the 2/3 of the hiv/virus. And this 2/3 people were a major impulse for the research agenda.I see the science behind del ferro as a very good starting point to build upon further. Its been more then 30 years ago this research was done. **Perhaps you can find out but why o why does the medical field ignore promising research regarding curing stuttering?** I cannot understand it as it has to do with curing a medical condition -or disorder if you will - that is perhaps one of the most severe disorders one can have, regarding the quality of life then any other disease/disorders. Sorry for making this comment but I really believe that having a stutter can have a huge negative impact on the quality of life. A famous person once spoke this impressive words. He said: >**"once someone finds the cure for stuttering, they will also find the solution for all the problems of mankind". This expressed the extremely strong need for people not to stutter anymore"** Ok, I hope I was able to give you some more context regarding my intentions here. I want the best for all the people worldwide that are stuttering day in, day out. With love, from Holland.
