No, my weakness is that there is a weakened connection between my left and my right hemispheres that creates dysfluency in my speech. This dysfluency goes on to create a first impression of me as a nervous person to any recruiter or interviewer, a first impression that is very hard to overcome, despite my other accomplishments and merits. You have the right to pursue whatever you want, and you should, but what you shouldn’t do is reject the reality of workplace and recruitment discrimination against people with handicaps, the existence of which is not up for debate. I’m glad you get to live your dream. Don’t project that survivorship bias into the lived experiences of those of us who, for whatever confluence of reasons, can not.
