I would tell them to fuck off for making fun of a neurological condition. I used to be quiet about this when I was younger, but fuck it gets me so angry now. The comments of "just stop being shy" "speak more slowly" etc are so fucking annoying. I do get the feeling of not being taking seriously though. I have 3 degrees and I still deal with this because I stutter.
