This is really good advice. You might be able to figure a little bit about why you stutter too. I know I was able to. My psychiatrist actually gave me some really good advice. He said that one thing that can help is to try and completely eliminate the whole "mind reading" aspect from your thought process. That is, don't think about the other person. Just think about yourself and what you want to say. Get rid of the whole "they're uncomfortable, they think I'm weird" types of thoughts. I know it's really hard, and might seem impossible, but I think over time it can definitely be accomplished, and maybe will help you feel not as exhausted.
