17 y/o old girl here. Going to college next year and struggling with crippling social anxiety as well as my stutter. I’m tired too and sometimes I also feel like there’s no way I’ll ever make it. Just try to find support in your life, like family and friends. See a psychiatrist or therapist if you can. (I don’t mean an SLP, I just mean a regular ol therapist as someone you can manage your feelings of self-doubt and shame with) We can do it. We will do it. I practice my speech on my own every single day, I have conversations with family despite my stutter, and I’m gonna be majoring in a field where public speaking and presentation is frequent. I won’t settle for less than I want because of my stutter. You shouldn’t either. Stay strong.
