I’m 17 and I’ve never dated. I have no experience with that. But it seems to me that if a fluent person is dating, engaged to, or married to someone with a stutter, it’s because they love the person for who they are. Like, think for a second if your SO personally felt that their life was being ruined by being with a pws. If that was the case, wouldn’t they make that clear? Wouldn’t they just leave you? I think that a lot of the time we inadvertently make ourselves feel unloved by our friends, family and whoever else because our stutter bothers us more than it bothers other people. If your SO hasn’t left you over your speech impediment by now, it’s probably because they fuckin love you!
