yea it's not really a confession, makes it sound like you committed something bad or evil and you're trying to apologize for it. that's just who you are and opening up to your gf will make her more supportive and understanding. it's not easy but it's worth it :) don't let others bring you down, cause at the end what you think is what matters, one quote i heard that I love "don't internalize external expectations"
