Does stuttering get a boost during puberty?

Does stuttering get a boost during puberty? I remember stuttering when I was like 7 or 8 but then I never stuttered until I was around 12-13 when it came back. I'm currently 16 and still stuttering but I just think it's weird that under a couple of years I can't really remember having any trouble stuttering I don't really think I did. But as soon as I entered puberty it came back. I know that one of my uncles stutter so that's likely where I've gotten it from, but I do wonder if it gets a boost during puberty and if it will disappear again like it during those years when I was stutter free.
