I’m not sure I agree with everything you’ve said, but absolutely disclosure at the beginning is key. Your audience will be more comfortable, which in turn makes you more comfortable. You won’t have to worry if/when they find out, because you have preempted that scenario by telling them, right up front. This also shows confidence!
