I am so sorry, that was so thoughtless of her and it hit you hard because your home should be a safe zone. Just some food for thought: It is important to realise that your thoughts create how you feel after a negative experience. The situation itself did not cause your emotional distress. If people treat you badly, or make fun of you, choosing not to care is an option. If someone laughs at you this does not mean that you have to feel upset. If an ignorant person, who doesn't understand stuttering, reacts in a stupid way, why should you care? What would you ever give such a person the power over your emotional life?
