I have problems with both my first and last name. It sucks since that's usually the first thing you say when you meet someone, or anytime you have to give your name to someone on the phone. I'm a bit older now, and just learned to live with it. Almost nobody is a dick about it, at least not to my face. Some people might laugh, but that's usually because they don't understand what was happening, so you can't really blame them too much in those cases. A lot of people will tell you that you just need to accept it and not beat yourself up about it. And as hard as it may be to hear that repeatedly when it sounds like bullshit, it really is the truth. Of course you should still try to get better and practice, but the people in your life care more about the kind of person you are than how well you speak.
