Everyone on this subreddit wants you alive. You don’t deserve the stutter, but you have it, and you have to work with it. Here’s what’s helped me: 1. NSA Chapter meetings. Most big cities have chapter meetings, which is where you go with a group of stutterers and be yourself. It’s a great way to practice talking to others without a bunch of added stress. 2. Practicing on those I don’t really need practice with. For example, I don’t stutter much around my sisters. So I practice breathing techniques and calming methods while I’m talking to her, even though I don’t need to. It’s a way to utilize these techniques so I can easily use them in more stressful situations. 3. Regularly check this subreddit. There’s over 5,000 people on this subreddit who care about you and want what’s best for you. Come back here often to read personal stories and motivational posts. Good luck!
