Yeah. I think a good example would be Vincent D’Onofrio’s portrayal of Wilson Fisk in the Netflix Daredevil series. He’s got a speaking cadence rife with mild blocks, but most people wouldn’t pick up on that as a stutter. I think most people hear the word “stutter” and think it refers to sound repetitions (e.g. Porky Pig). Since Fisk’s speech lacks those repetitions, I think a lot of folks would just think of his cadence as a character tic.
