You can think of it as a non-avoidance exercise. If it works out fine, if not troubleshoot the situations or tell the rude person they are wrong. It's one aspect of this journey of non-avoidance. Tell the friend in some way, what you expect from them. Perhaps say "I hope you are patient if we talk." Then go forward with it. \*But this is online. Will it trace your address /name if you call them. What is the online friend's age: Have you known them before becoming online friends. Tell your parents about it to see how you should proceed. Also, you can use a Google number. If uncomfortable or not ready to do so, just say no without long explanations.
