I don't get this\- like maybe I'm missing something, but no\-one has ever said to me at least that stuttering is solely neurological. I mean, my dysarthia is neurological, but that also doesn't mean I can't learn my way out of it/learn to manage it better. I mean, this is why speech pathologists exist. As for habit, anxiety etc. These are all reasonable theories but all speech difficulties are individualised which is why I think there's no unified theory of speech impairment, too many variables. Especially when you consider that anxiety itself can be neurological, and habit essentially is having learnt a specific neural pathway.
