There isn't really a way to overcome anxiety unless you face it. As a person who stutters, if I feel anxious, I tell myself that I feel anxious and that is ok. That I feel anxious because I stutter, that I feel nervous and that I will most likely stutter. Tell yourself over and over: "It's ok for me to stutter" Facing the fear and anxiety does make it lessen, even go away. I've noticed that the more I try to go opposite the anxiety, for example, saying to myself, I am calm and relaxed --then the more obvious the anxiety becomes.
