Is working in IT really what you want to do in life? I am guessing I am alot older than you. This is what I've learned, maybe it will be helpful, most of us out in the world work jobs until we can't stand them anymore, then switch career paths. If you didn't major in medicine or law, then you have to find yourself somehow. What fufills you and gives your life purpose? I don't know if I am saying this right, but sometimes you find your career by working alot of jobs that you don't like and cross them off your list. Sometimes you will work for a company and realize that you are no longer the person you were when you started. For example, an english teacher might find that they want to open an antiques store or maybe a carpenter wants to become a social worker. I am sure there are reddits about networking and finding your passion. Whatever you choose, don't let a speech disability hold you back from living the life you want.
