I get what you are saying about the gap of not speaking the word and the social tension… But if your tongue knows how to say the word, you will not have to pause too long. For example, imagine that you see a table = have selected this word for your tongue to produce. If your tongue has the muscle memory of moving for precisely uttering this word, it will do so RIGHT AWAY - unless you will not let it by holding it on top of your mouth… Sorry for too many details;-) But my point is, social tension will grow if you have not learned this word with your tongue yet and begin guessing how to say this “difficult” word. This requires time, which we need much less if our tongue knows exactly what to do:-)
