Well no one actually says that they're rejecting you coz of it. But u do get denied alot. In this summers, i applied to a lot of internships(even unpaid at the end coz i was desperate), got called on the interviews as well and thats where shit went sideways. Always. I do have a very high GPA and have won and been a runner up of national level coding competitions but maybe that wasn't enough for them. Friends with lot less on their CVs got selected. So answering ur question, yeah.
