That is so true. Self-acceptance is the first step to reducing social anxiety. If I‘d waited to have a life until I finally became fluent at 70, I’d have missed out on my entire education, marriage, and family. I'd have never made lifelong friends or enjoyed social interaction. We’re a lot harder on ourselves than others are. Everyone has defects, only ours are more obvious when we open our mouths.
