As a guy who has had some real rough periods in my life, It's hard to come to terms with the things that intersect in our lives like stuttering or societal expectations of gender. It's also hard to acknowledge how others are going through similar strife even if they don't have our exact struggles. It's much easier to fall into insecurity mindsets like incels since you get to give up and be doomed, judgemental, and special.
