Don't worry about being looked down on for choosing not to drink alcohol as much as your friends. Once you're out of University, you'll be glad you were able to stand up for yourself, even if it seems like something silly now, and chose to do your own thing, even if that means only having 1 beer every once in a while. I've noticed that my anxiety increases when I drink alcohol. Therefor, my stutter does get worse. Plus, you lose control of your body the more you drink, so you might not be as concentrated on focusing on your stutter as you would be when you're sober. Just a thought!
