Hey, sounds very familiar. And ironically I am also doing my masters of speech pathology which my mates find hilarious and I’m sure I’ll never hear the end of it. I also have trouble with the plosives and have found I have a really good shot of controlling them if I am consciously link the sound from the preceding word without break. It sounds natural and it largely eliminates the harsh plosive aspect. Edit: also worth a mention to have a look at the ‘Smooth Speech’ framework and intervention, it basically is all you’ve mentioned and a couple more techniques.
