Don't smile when he faces a block. I understand you have good intentions but that's one time that smile kills. Once in a viva question I had a block on word "credit" and my interviewer smiled and said don't be nervous. I couldn't complete the word. My goodness I was trembling. I asked permission to write my answer down, which he did. But that broke my confidence.
