I’m sorry your family doesn’t think they should take the time to listen to you. I don’t understand how people’s families can be like that. How do they not just get used to it? My bf has a pretty severe stutter and most of the time I don’t even notice any more. Sure, if he’s stuck for 30 seconds I’ll notice, but usually I would have to consciously focus on how he’s speaking to notice. If he were to ask me what words he stuttered on in a sentence, I doubt I could tell him unless I was purposely listening for it. It’s sad that people aren’t willing to put up with being a little bit uncomfortable for a bit, because they’d get used to it pretty quick and then it would be no big deal.
