I used to raise my hand in class all the time. In 3rd grade age 9 we got a new book and teacher would ask if anyone wanted to read aloud. I always did and raised my hand. I remember stumbling through some tough words or maybe just getting caught up and remember some kids laughing which just made me try harder which just made it worse… I don’t blame them it’s normal for kids that age. I’ve had good times where i was fluent and not great times. What I’ve learned over the years is that my stutter is almost 100% me trying not to stutter. Catch22 I know. Wish it were easy to turn off.
