Speech therapy making a stutter worse? Hey everyone. I’ve had a mild stutter all my life. I recently decided to go to speech therapy as a I thought it couldn’t hurt. What I’ve noticed is that when I try to use the “techniques” i actually stutter even worse. When i am consciously trying to use a technique I automatically stutter on that word. It all seems kind of pointless because it puts emphasis on speech fluency which just makes everything 10x worse for me
