You're telling people to give up. That's the last thing an impressionable kid needs to read. I'm not sure how people would define my stutter now, but when I was a kid it wasn't mild. I went through times in HS when I couldn't speak a single word. I'd be silent, and furious about it, the entire day. I don't feel my stuttering has changed since I was a kid, but I certainly go about life differently. You'll never know if something will work for you unless you try.
