You'll be great! I stutter and have worked in retail for years. It's not as scary as you'd think. A few things to keep in mind: It's your turf. Yes, you have to help people, but don't forget that you have home court advantage. They're in your store and they need your help. Don't worry about embarrassing the company. They hired you, they know you stutter. Most people don't want to be your new best friend, they want quick answers. Be friendly, but just answer their questions. They're just there to buy crap from your store and don't really care what you have to say beyond that. It can be intimidating, but try to stay calm and in control. Yes, you'll stutter and yes, some people will laugh, but the overwhelming majority won't care. Work on developing relationships with your coworkers, as they may be able to bail you out if your having a particularly tough time. You got this OP!
