I knew this would happen to me if I just started with self therapy, so I first bought Atomic Habits to study how to get motivated and stick to the plan long term. It's a great motivational book filled with useful tips and much of it applies very well to an ovecome-stuttering journey that I want to undertake. Ideally you should tie your daily practice to something that you enjoy. I often practice when talking my dog for a walk in the woods, reading aloud a book that I'm interested in or have a coversation with an AI psychologist. I can't speak for what would help you best, this is something you have to experiment with. Sounds like you have to dealing with anxiety should a priority. My stutter is so engrained that I do it even when completely at ease, so I practice more on articulation and slow pacing.
