does anyone else get asked if they have tourettes when they stutter?

does anyone else get asked if they have tourettes when they stutter? when my parents get pissed at me stuttering, they yell at me asking if i “have tourettes or something”, which is weird because i’ve stuttered for my whole life around them? but i also get asked this by other people too (who also obviously dont know what tourettes actually is) just asking cause im just curious
