i couldn't say for sure, only because I rarely use french outside the of a classroom setting. teachers and classmates who know i stutter don't give it a second thought. in québec, sometimes locals assume my french is bad and switch to english, but i have a feeling this has less to do with my stutter and more to do with my accent haha. with both of our situations it's probably a mix of stuttering as well as other elements that cause people to question our proficiency in a language.
