Who ARE these people? They could be immature teenagers, not an excuse for terrible rudeness, but if they are adults you definitely need different people in your life. I’m 77f, stuttered since childhood, and it’s been VERY rare that I’ve experienced the destructive things that you describe. This is very sad. Mature individuals have information and hopefully empathy. You are so much more than your stutter. If the people around you are that ill-informed and cruel, find another peer group. Also, you can call them out for their ignorance. You don’t need this cruelty in your life.
