"that I don’t care anymore." - I think you answered your question, and that's awesome. Continue going to gym, get fit, continue talking to people even if this happens 100x more times, it's part of fixing it, and eventually you will. It's like being nervous for interview, do interview 20x times, and 21. time you won't be nervous, that's same for stuttering, just it's a bit larger problem so it takes more time. I had exactly same situations as you described, but now I am 26y old and I am able to speak any random people for so long without having them notice that I have any issue, but I was pushing myself constantly to deal with various public situations, dates, job interviews, job meetings, and eventually it gets a lot better.
