I do not stutter, however I can relate to your problems... I came here to read about how stuttering affects your thinking, behaviour, and how it predisposes you to be anxious, especially in social situations. Although I do not stutter, I have a disease called essential tremor (ET), which causes involuntary shaking in my hands and head, exacerbated by stress. My feelings are similar to yours when it comes to meeting new people, job interviews, dating (jk, I don't date lol), generally every kind of performance situations. People see right away that I shake, and I can see the judgmental smirks on their faces, which causes a negative feedback so I tend to shake more. Unfortunately, it gets worse with age. I just wanted to say that it is encouraging to read your posts and see how you persevere despite having a disability that is not life threatening in itself, but may significantly undermine one's quality of life (just like ET does).
