>*"Do you know where I can read about adults who overcame stuttering?"* I read these research studies on stuttering recovery in adults who stutter. The researchers: Sheehan, Guitar, and Yaruss & Quesal, have investigated how many adults who stutter (AWS) naturally or spontaneously recovered from stuttering (45% out of 205 adults - Sheehan, 9% out of 282 adults - Guitar, and 34% out of 119 adults - Yaruss). 1. Sheehan (PhD researcher) found in his research study that 45% of adults achieved complete recovery from stuttering. 205 adults who stuttered participated in this study. [Here](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BGBBv8D7d3rC0rziDN2WiNLrZrqR7gEi/view?usp=sharing) you can read Sheehan's research study on adults who recovered from stuttering. Read the list on page 14 how the adults recovered from stuttering, for example "*Recovered stutterers had less often included stuttering as part of theirself-concept*" 2. Guitar (PhD researcher) shows in another research that only 9% of adults recovered from stuttering out of 282 adults who stutter. 3. Yaruss and Quesal in 2004 examined the recovery of 119 adults. In this study 34% of adults recovered from stuttering." 4. [Here](https://pure.eur.nl/files/48243924/Repub_117942_O-A.pdf) you can read a research study (2019) on late recovery in adults who recovered from stuttering. 5. PhD researchers Yairi & Ambrose (2023) suggest - towards causal attribution of recovery - to think, feel and act like normally speaking individuals when they talk with the aim of a complete recovery. >Sheehan, J.G.
