Has Your Stutter Gone Away When You Pretended To Be Someone Else? I've been a long time stutterer but there have been some phases in my life where it's completely gone away. Usually in those phases I'm more social/extroverted than my regular self and I have a more active social life. I'm naturally an introvert but sometimes I will become more social. But I've noticed that in those phases, I feel like a different person. Like my self identity is influenced a lot by external sources. Everything from my speech patterns, dressing styles, attitude, sometimes even food habits......it's like I was copying someone else I had seen on TV or someone I really looked up to. But when I'm introverted.........that's when I feel like I'm my true self and not copying anyone. Have you noticed this happening with your stutter too?
