Absolutely! For me, there were a lot of different stages to developing fluency. The early stages of learning fluency work speech patterns that you would use outside of therapy. As I progressed I began transitioning from earlier stages of fluent speech to the normal conversation. I think I'm much more monotone today than I was prior to receiving speech therapy. Not quite monotone, but not as wide of a range.
