Got the highest paid job I ever had. It was a significant bump. Found out day one it involved a lot of phone work in an open office setting. Went home for lunch and never came back. I still cringe about it. Edit: Side note: it was a networking job which I studied specifically to avoid talking to people. Turned out that was a huge mistake. It’s just like any other IT job. Lots of helping people through their technically problems over the phone.
