Dreams will often highlight and exaggerate your fears pretty quickly. This is why people can't run when they desperately try to run, or type on your phone when you desperately try to text call somebody important. > I do shout every night for real in my attempts to talk to the people in my dreams. When I 'enter' a lucid dream, I tend to shout as loud as a I can (in the lucid dream) to my wife, hoping she will hear me in the real world. Not out of fear, but out of fun mostly. My physical body ends up never really shouting out loud, though. > Do you think I should consult a therapist to talk about these dreams/nightmares? I'm sure it won't hurt, if you find a good one. > Do you also experience these dreams? Maybe not so often? Or do you simply stutter in your dreams too ? I'm sure we all do. But the thing is, the more you resist having a stutter, the more it will come back to you in the dream state. There's this cliché/cheesy saying going "Resistance = persistance", but it's very true. What you resist, will linger in your mind the longest of all. If you resist something, your mind see's this as a threat, and will constantly be on the lookout for this 'threat', which will then also result in you constantly scanning for this threat. Also meaning, constantly THINKING about this perceived 'threat'. Hope this helps!
