And it dawns once again In reference to my earlier post regarding rejection at the interview round for many educational institutes because I couldn't speak directly ( I stutter at every 2nd word ) and it happened today once again - I was speaking to a panel of 5 educators who asked me questions to get into The Bachelors of Science ( Hons. ) Economics program in India and they weren't particularly pleased with my performance , the person before me was super confident and eloquent and other candidates also could speak clearly - I tried to inform them that I stutter but they said it won't be a problem but by the end of the first set of questions only I could see the frustration on the faces of the panelists coz I was taking much time to pronounce difficult words for me such as 'Linear Optimization' , 'Advanced Microeconomic Theory' , to an extent I offered to write in a response to their questions ( which they swiftly refused ) thus I deem I have been indirectly shown the door from another educational institute just because I can't speak two particular words properly continuously . It's just painful at this stage and I hang my head in shame once again as I drive back home and inform my parents that I tanked another school that I was pretty sure I would get easily ( for ref. my acads were on point for this school ) but the interview section for these institutes carries 40% weightage so someone with avg transcripts + decent interview would make it in but not me . I can't help but write to explain this problem that I face , I have been a lone stutterer at school here in India thus growing up wasn't the most pleasant experience and it just reminds me of bad days at Secondary and High School and wanted to move ahead to a more liberal and accepting place called College but it seems even getting there is quite far-fetched at this point . It's just bad how everyone else, even some people with below average acads got into their favored school and are now spending some of their last days home partying and packing stuff for college while I have to content with rejection - go back home and prepare for another aptitude test just to be shown the door at the interview stage . And then people say Why do you associate yourself with The current POTUS and Steve Harvey the most ( I look up and admire them for their ability to overcome this problem and set this aside and excel in any walk of life they choose upon ) .
