I find that I don't stutter as much in times when I genuinely don't care if I stutter... so I guess that's a sign that lowering expectations reduces stuttering. But on the other hand, thinking to myself that 'I'll be perfect and not stutter' helps to calm my nerves and reduces my stuttering... which is sort of an example of high expectations being good. I sometimes struggle to pick between high and low expectations depending on the situation, so I'm curious where other people draw the line between the two!
