Seconding this about the correlation of stuttering and OCD - and also ADHD! I’ve also had a stutter since early childhood, and was just diagnosed with ADHD last year (at 41 yrs old). Apparently there is similar neurology / brain structure, they can be co-existing. When I read about this I almost lost my shit - it explains a lot!! Also I highly second the recommendation of John Hendrickson’s Life on Delay. Incredible read on so many levels.
