how much do you think region impacts the quality of life of a stutterer? i’ve been stuttering since the age of 4. i grew up in a major city in an area of the US that is known for being progressive and socially tolerant. i had a few stragglers make fun of me when i was elementary school-aged but otherwise i always felt accepted growing up, and even today. i have always had easy access for things like speech therapy and good up-to-date information and resources. people can be so cruel and it hurts to see that most aren’t so lucky. what region are you from and what is it like? i think it’s important to discuss how things like culture, media, and social norms affect life for stutterers around the world.
