100% can. Stuttering is due to tension. The more tense you are the more you will stutter and more the at ease you feel, the less you will stutter. The thing is, the biggest reason for tension being stored is repressed emotion. You repress emotions when you feel a certain way and don't feel safe/available/worthy to express it. So what do you do? Trap it inside of our bodies. The jealousy, the anger, the regret, the anxiety, the worry, the doubt.. all of that just gets bottled up and stored. It's very interesting to have a stutter start from this. Must've been a very traumatic time. I'm sorry about that. I've also had years in high school obsessed with a girl and it was torture. So you didn't stutter at all before this?
