I’m 67 and have been stuttering since I was 8 or so. Never had any therapy or medical intervention. I did however have a hundred “work arounds” like using a substitute word or saying things out of order. I grew up in NYC and some people thought English was my second language and I was European. :). I navigated the world pretty well, first military then a career as an attorney. But it was hard work. At around fifty I was having panic/anxiety attacks and my physician/friend kept bugging me to try Celexa. I finally did….. my attacks went away, no waking up at 3AM worrying about nonsense, and my stuttering went down by 90%. Been taking it for 15 years with no noticeable side effects. I wish I had taken it much earlier in my life
